The 2015 Jeep Renegade is the brand's first small SUV with two models-the Trailhawk with best-in-class 4X4 capabilities and the Latitude. Both models are the perfect choice for all of your multi-terrain adventures. With the Selec-Terrain® system, the 2015 Jeep Renegade helps you discover everything life has to offer. While the Renegade looks like your typical Jeep SUV, it is far from it with a modified platform shared with the Fiat 500L. While Jeep® has not yet released information about the Renegade's MPG, it has stated that is has best-in-class fuel economy, which may be the result of the nine-speed automatic transmission.

 

Powering the Jeep Renegade

As an internationally-sold vehicle, the 2015 Jeep Renegade will offer a number of powertrains and engines. However, U.S. residents can expect just two powertrains: a turbocharged 1.4-liter, four-cylinder, 160-horsepower engine and a 2.4-liter, four-cylinder, 184-horsepower engine. The Renegade also comes two available transmissions: a six-speed manual transmission for the turbo engine and a nine-speed automatic transmission for the other. It also has an available All-Wheel-Drive system known as the Jeep Active Drive to make off-road driving or towing easier. For the Trailhawk model, the Jeep Active Drive includes a low mode, which helps the drive do some heavy off-roading. The Selec-Terrain® system offers four terrains: automatic, snow, sand, and mud. However, the 2015 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk offers a fifth terrain mode for rock.

 

The 2015 Renegade's Design

Known by Jeep® as the new "small-wide 4X4 architecture," the 2015 Jeep Renegade is 1.8 inches shorter than the Buick Encore, but 5 inches longer than the Honda Fit. The Renegade is a compact SUV loaded with power, technology, sporty décor, and a sense of adventure. The interior of the 2015 Jeep Renegade is just as rugged as its exterior, which Jeep® is calling "Tek-Tonic." It combines structural elements, soft-to-the-touch materials, colors, and storage solutions for the most extreme sporting equipment. It also has an available 5- or 6.5-inch Uconnect® touchscreen system for media, Bluetooth connectivity, 9-1-1 assist, and navigation. The My Sky open-air sunroof system allows you to bring in the outside with two roof panels that you can remove manually or with a premium power tilt/slide feature.
