Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan is available in three trim levels: SE, SE Plus, and SXT. All models ride on 17-inch wheels with touring tires, however, the colors set them apart. The SE Plus has gloss black wheels and the SXT has aluminum wheels. Another feature setting the models apart is the grille. The SE and SXT have a black/bright grille, while the SE Plus is offered with a black/bright and gloss black grille. A Black Top Appearance package is available on the SE Plus. The SXT stands out with bright side roof rails and SXT badging.
Engine (Power)
A 3.6-liter V-6 24-valve VVT engine is under the hood of all three 2019 Grand Caravan models. The transmission is a six-speed automatic 62TE.
Performance
The engine in the Grand Caravan cranks out 283 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque and can tow up to 3,600 pounds. The van gets an EPA estimated 17 miles per gallon city and 25 miles per gallon highway. Opt for the SE Plus or SXT and enjoy an even smoother ride thanks to the touring suspension.
Interior
Inside the 2019 Grand Caravan, you'll find a plush interior with some of the latest tech equipment. Standard features include a 6.5-inch touch-screen display, six-speaker audio system, power outlets, and a 40 GB hard drive. A 28 GB hard drive is also available. Bluetooth, SiriusXM, Uconnect voice command, a remote USB port, three-zone automatic temperature control, and remote start are also standard on the SE Plus and SXT.
The seats in the SE are made of cloth. Step up to the SE Plus for premium cloth bucket seats, or enjoy even more luxury in the SXT with premium seating with suede inserts. There's plenty of room for passengers as the SE and SE Plus both have second-row bench seats and the SXT has second-row buckets with fold-in floor seats. All three models have third-row 60/40 Stow ‘n Go.
Both the SE Plus and SXT kick the interior up a notch with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob and premium accents. The instrumental panel on the SE Plus has piano black appliques, while the SXT features a black finish. The SE Plus also has silver accent stitching.
Passengers of the SXT will appreciate the three-zone manual temperature control and front and rear air conditioner with heater. Additionally, all three models feature an air filtering system to help maintain proper indoor air quality.
Safety Features
The 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan comes with plenty of standard safety features, such as ParkView rear backup camera, electronic stability control, advanced multistage front air bags, driver inflatable knee-bolster air bag, and keyless entry with immobilizer. The SE Plus and SXT also add supplemental front seat-mounted side air bags and supplemental side-curtain air bags as standard safety equipment.
