The 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited heads into its second year since a major redesign in 2018. Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2019 Wrangler Unlimited is available in five trim levels: Sport, Sport S, Sahara, Rubicon, and Moab. Even in its base sport trim, the Wrangler features iconic styling and is instantly recognizable. Stepping up to the Sport S provides additional styling elements, while buyers of the Sahara will see unique alloy wheels and Sahara badging. Opting for the Rubicon package provides buyers with Rubicon-specific wheels, more aggressive all-terrain tires, and stand out Rubicon badging. The Moab stands out with a body-color three-piece hardtop as standard.
Engine (Power)
Even equipped with the base 3.6-liter V-6 engine, the 2019 Wrangler Unlimited boasts plenty of power. The base V-6 is the standard engine in all of the trim levels available and hustles the Jeep smoothly and quickly up to cruising speed whether it's paired up with the obligatory straight shift manual transmission or with a smooth-shifting eight-speed automatic. An optional four-cylinder turbocharged engine is available.
Performance
The base V-6 engine in all models produces 285 horsepower. While both the V-6 and four-cylinder engines are more than capable of making the trip to 60 in under 7 seconds, models equipped with the four-cylinder turbocharged engine will shave about half of a second off of the 0 to 60 time.
Interior
The interior of the 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited runs the gamut from utilitarian in its sport trim level to near luxury in the Sahara and Moab guises. The Sahara and Moab models not only get you trim specific accouterments, but you can also choose from a number of option groups, such as a technology package and cold climate options. The Sahara, Rubicon, and Moab trims all feature unique interior styling accents and badging to distinguish themselves further from one another.
Safety Features
All Jeep Wrangler Unlimited models feature four-wheel drive capability, making them excellent choices for off-road work or when the weather turns foul. Buyers can choose between different four-wheel-drive systems to suit their needs. Those who plan on pushing the limits off-road will be rewarded if they opt for the Rubicon as it comes from the factory with a performance suspension, as well as a rear differential locker. New for this year is a suite of driver assistance and safety systems, such as blind spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control. All 2019 Wrangler Unlimited models are equipped with a full suite of air bags, as well as an anti-lock braking system.
