2022 Jeep Compass

The Compass Sport has one of the largest, most capable touch screens in its class. Other favorite amenities include three USB ports and keyless entry. Furthermore, it comes with more than 8 standard driver assistance features to reduce the chances of a crash scenario.

This Jeep compact SUV has a spacious 27.2 cubic feet cargo hold. When the second row is folded, the available cargo area expands to 59.8 cubic feet. Other features include the fold-down front seat, the 60-40 split rear seats, and the available hands-free power liftgate.

The Latitude model builds on the Sport trim, adding alloy wheels and other exterior updates. Inside, the Jeep upholstery style combines a rich vinyl with a handsome cloth to create a modern look. If you want more amenities, the Convenience Group dresses up the driver’s cockpit and provides many favorites from higher trim levels.

You can just step right up to the Latitude Lux trim level, adding four-wheel drive as standard. This model has leather upholstery and a leather-clad steering wheel, and other updated style features.

Technophiles love this edition because it has the large touch screen and the excellent digital instrument cluster behind the wheel. Drivers love the 8-way power seat. For winter, the front seats have a power-heat system.

Available on the Latitude or Latitude Lux editions, the Driver Assistance Group is a high tech package with 7 important aids and technologies. The panoramic sunroof is offered in the Sun and Sound Group package, available on both trims. In addition to an 8-way power-adjustable passenger seat and rear heated seats, the driver gains memory capability for the driver power chair. Other extras include more USB ports and LED fog lights.

Compass High Altitude models come dressed in special black interior accents and special black exterior upgrades. The Interior Group High Altitude package brings the cabin more in line with the Limited Elite. Whether you are focused on leather seats or remote start, these trims take care of your needs.

At the Limited, Limited Lux, and High Altitude level, many elements of the previous Driver Assist packages have been added. The trail-rated edition of the Compass has Active Drive Low. This four-wheel system helps the Trailhawk handle many more aspects of off-roading.

The 177-horsepower engine propels the Compass easily through highway traffic and on difficult climbs. It generates 172 pound-feet of torque. The horsepower to weight ratio is excellent because the FWD Compass curb weight is just over 3000 pounds.

Front-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic transmission are standard on the Sport and Latitude. A nine-speed automatic and four-wheel drive are available on those trims and standard on higher trims. Fuel efficiency is 30 or 31 on the highway, depending on the drivetrain.

When equipped with Selec-Terrain management, the Compass has more tools for off-road fun. This includes a sand setting, perfect for our desert climate. It has mud and snow settings, too. The parallel and perpendicular park assist made its debut on the Grand Cherokee a few years ago. Now Jeep makes it available to Compass owners. This system will almost park the vehicle for you, relieving you of the stress.

The 8.4-inch UConnect touch screen made its debut on the Grand Cherokee a few years ago and now it is standard on the Compass. This remarkable system is made even more useful with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

You can step up to the 10.1-inch touch screen for sharper graphics and faster response times. This system can be paired with either the 7-inch or 10.5-inch digital instrumentation.
