2022 Jeep Gladiator

Color and character define this midsize truck. A unique seven-slot keystone grille is flanked by round headlamps. Gladiator colors include the brand new Silver Zynith plus Firecracker Red, Sting Gray, Hydro Blue, Sarge Green, Granite Crystal, and Snazzberry. There are 9 different hues in all.

The Jeep truck’s fenders, tailgate, doors, hood, and hinges are among the parts that are made of high-strength military aluminum. By replacing steel with this lightweight, yet strong metal, Jeep lowers the vehicle’s weight. A new windshield choice comes with Corning Gorilla Glass.

Ground clearance is rated as high as 11.1 inches. Water fording capability is rated as high as 30 inches. Like the Wrangler, the vehicle’s overhangs are kept tight to allow for extremely tight breakover angles.

When a Gladiator Jeep driver wants to feel free, it just takes minutes to turn this vehicle into the only open air truck available from the factory. The standard windshield can be folded down. A variety of roof choices are all removable. The doors can be removed as well.

Plus Mopar has created half-doors with two upper-window choices. These are all part of the Jeep Gladiator Dual-Door Group factory option. Taking advantage of this factory-installed equipment, the upgrade is covered under the Jeep’s regular warranty.

Owners get a Gladiator with lightweight, high strength aluminum doors in the vehicle’s body color. They also get aluminum half doors with lower window ledges for improved visibility on the trail. It’s a quick and easy swap to go from one door type to the other.

Command-Trac is standard on Sport and Overland models. This part-time system still manages to achieve 2.72:1 low range gearing. Owners can opt for Trac-Lok, Jeep’s limited-slip rear differential that can handle sand, mud or snow. Selec-Trac, a full-time system, is also an option.

Standard skid plates protect the fuel tank and transfer case. The Rubicon adds an underbody skid plate. Mojave models wear a silver-painted skid plate that protects the front suspension. High Altitude models have a transmission skid plate and sport shock absorbers.

The Willys Sport is recognizable by its cab rock rails, 32-inch mud-terrain tires, deep-tint sunscreen windows, and red-accented heavy duty shock absorbers.

Jeep calls the Gladiator Mojave the ultimate high speed off-road capable vehicle on sand. To control bounce, there are high-performance Fox bypass shocks and special reservoirs. In an industry-first application, Jeep utilizes front hydraulic jounce bumpers. It has Trac-Lok and 33-inch tires.

Exclusive to the Rubicon model, the Rock Trac system has a two-speed transfer case and 4:1 low range gearing. The front and rear have electric locking differentials. Other standards include the off-road winch-capable bumpers, Heavy Duty Dana axles, and a disconnecting sway bar. Selec-Speed Control is like cruise control but for the slow speeds needed during an off-road adventure.

The standard engine is the well-known Pentastar V6. This engine has been powering Wranglers on their adventures. Output is 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. This comes with a choice of the standard six-speed manual or a TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission.

V6 payload capacity is 1,700 pounds on the Jeep Gladiator for sale now. Towing capacity is 4,000, 6,000 or even 7,650 pounds.

The available EcoDiesel V6 creates 442 lb-ft of torque and 260 horsepower. The TorqueFlite transmission was re-calibrated to provide low-RPM shifting.

The Gladiator lineup includes the Sport, Willys Sport, Sport S, Altitude, Willys, Overland, Mojave, Rubicon and High Altitude editions. These 5-person cabins have 103 cubic feet of passenger space.

Sport details include illuminated beverage holders, push button start, and the 7-inch UConnect touch screen. Willys Sport models have exterior updates plus Mopar all-weather slush mats.

Sport S has more cabin amenities and more power features for the windows, doors, tailgate, and outside mirrors. The Sport S is the first to offer the full options list, including leather upholstery, advanced 4WD, and advanced technologies. The Willys builds off of the Sport S, but it has a distinctive exterior trim style.

Altitude models boast a black 3-piece hardtop. The cabin has automatic temperature controls and a 7-inch driver display. Trailer hitch zoom makes hooking up simple.

Overland models have the largest touchscreen, GPS navigation, ambient lighting, and an Alpine audio system. The exterior is dressed with color accented bumpers, Platinum Silver grille rings, and Granite Crystal aluminum alloys.

You’ll know Rubicons by the dual vented hood, red tow hooks, and high-clearance fender flares. The large Granite Crystal alloys front 33-inch Falken all-terrain tires. This model has special red accent stitching, bright interior accents, and stylish upholstery. A wash-out interior makes it easy to clean after an adventure.

Distinguished by a painted rear bumper, Mojave models have their own performance hood and orange tow hooks. This model wears rock protection sill rails like the Rubicon. The seats wear sport bolsters and premium cloth upholstery. A special instrument panel sits behind the competition leather steering wheel

The 2022 Jeep Gladiator High Altitude builds on the Altitude edition. The cabin has quilted Nappa leather upholstery, a full-length floor console, and premium door trim. There’s plenty of color with the LED interior lighting, Caramel stitched wrapped instrument panel, and caramel interior accents.

Technology for Entertainment and Safety

UConnect 4 touch screens are standard, bringing with them Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. All models can subscribe to WiFi, enabling up to 8 devices within a 50-foot radius of the Gladiator. That’s perfect for picnicking, camping or working away from home.

The UConnect 4C Nav system has an 8.4-inch touchscreen with HD Radio. Included with GPS navigation, the owner gets a 5-year trial subscription for SiriusXM Traffic Plus and Travel Link. They also receive a 6-month trial to SiriusXM radio and a 1-year trial for SiriusXM Guardian Connected Services.

As part of Jeep’s driver assistance, the full-speed forward collision warning has an emergency brake response. The Parkview Camera can be augmented by a ParkSense Rear Assist system or Cross-Path Detection. The blind spot monitor is ready to watch for danger alongside the truck.
