US News and World Report has put this new SUV at the top of two of its best of 2022 lists. It is ranked #1 in large SUVs and SUVs with 3 rows. The critics’ rating is a remarkable 9.5 out of 10. Motor Trend writes that the new Jeep Wagoneer resembles the more expensive 2022 Grand Wagoneer. Equally important, it rides like it as well.
In its review, Kelley Blue Book notes the brisk acceleration on road and the well-composed off road abilities. The reviewer noted that despite its size, the Wagoneer handled deeply rutted trails and climbed rocky grades.
Performance
The smart powertrain cranks out 392 horsepower and 404 pound-feet of torque. This V8 is a 5.7-liter port-injected 16-valve 90-degree V8. This is an e-Torque V8, meaning that it has a hybrid boost.
This American premium SUV is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. The driving range is 583 miles. Maximum towing capacity is a mammoth 10,000 pounds. The Wagoneer can pull a boat or camper with ease.
Four-Wheel Drivetrain
Like any good Jeep, the new Wagoneer is offered with a choice of four-wheel drivetrains. Quadra Trac I has a 40/60 torque split with its single-speed transfer case. A 2-range transfer case with Quadra Trac II can move power to single or multiple wheels as needed for traction.
Quadra-Drive II makes more out of the low range gearing to help with any off road action. Like Quadra-Trac II it comes with SelecTerrain. This provides rock, snow, and sand-and-mud settings.
Spaciousness

The passenger space measures a remarkable 167 cubic feet. The third row is easy to get to because the middle seats slide forward. Even better, third-row passengers have 39 inches of headroom and 36 inches of legroom. That’s bigger than the GMC Yukon Denali and most other rivals.
The Jeep Wagoneer 2022 model claims 27.4 cubic feet, almost 2 more cubes than the Yukon Denali. The Jeep’s area behind the second row is 70.8 cubic feet. When the seats are folded completely, the area is 116.7 cubes.
Exterior Good Looks
Although this is a luxury ride, it has all the classic signs of a Jeep. There are quality differences as well as subtle styling cues. The Jeep grille with its well-known seven slots leans slightly forward. The wheel arches are trapezoidal.
LED lighting is specially designed for the SUV. Skid plates are decorative as well as essential for protection. Maximum ground clearance is 10 inches. This is found on models with Quadra Lift, the air suspension.
Trim Levels
The Series I wears leather upholstery on its comfortable three rows of seats. The one-piece dash features two screens. A digital instrument cluster is matched to one of the infotainment screens.

The Series II Premium piles on a significant entertainment addition to the standard trim level. This includes the dual-screen entertainment screens for the rear, Amazon Fire TV for Auto, and the front passenger screen.
With the trailer tow package, Jeep adds a tri-pane sunroof, advanced parking assistance (parallel and perpendicular), a head-up display and the helpful perimeter surround camera.
Series III Off-road is made to go off-road. The power side steps puts themselves away, keeping them out of harm's way if on the trail. A 19-speaker audio system and the front passenger screen are tech standards.
Series III Premium piles it all into the cabin. Instead of the regular towing package, it has the heavy duty towing package. It has all of the tech features previously discussed. In fact, this is the most luxurious, more high tech Wagoneer.
Technology
A new UConnect5 system processes five times faster than the Jeep UConnect 4. Drivers will have Tom-Tom navigation to get where they want to go. The system has five user profiles which allows more smart devices to utilize Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
Everyone can make use of the 8 USB ports, and 3 more are added with the rear entertainment package. Fire TV for Auto makes advanced streaming possible.. With the WiFi hotspot, up to 8 people can utilize WiFi for their devices.
A second touchscreen is available to entertain the front passenger. The screen allows the passenger to assist the driver by monitoring the 360-degree camera system, controlling the navigation, or handling the music choices.
Jeep Wagoneer vs Rivals
