What is the Ram Brand Reputation?
US News and World Report has named Ram the best truck brand four times. Motor Trend has given its Truck of the Year Award to Ram six times out of the brand’s 14-year history.
Year after year, the Ram 1500 makes the Car and Driver Editors’ Choice list. Likewise, the Ram heavy duty trucks are also on this prestigious list for the fourth time, along with the 2024 Ram 1500 TRX.
Kelley Blue Book notes that these “big, burly machines” are as at home on the ranch as on the road. They call the 1500 “a more civilized choice” than its rivals due to its ride quality.
In fact, all Ram trucks are praised for their ride quality. As a rule, the brand is known for its above-class cabins and quiet, comfortable ride. Of course, it’s also known for its brawny strength and real durability.
What are the 1500, 2500, 3500 Ram Cab Sizes?
When it comes to size, there are differences in the 1500 and heavy duty approach. The new Ram 1500 comes in either a Quad Cab or Crew Cab with a 6-ft, 4-in bed. That can be traded for a 5-ft, 7-in bed.
The Ram 2500 and 3500 are offered with a regular one-row cab paired with a big 8-ft bed. You can get that bed or a 6 ft, 4-in bed with the Ram 2500 and 3500 Crew Cab. If you choose a 2500 or 3500 4x4, you can get the extra-large Mega Cab with a 6-ft, 4-in bed.

Why do People Choose the 2024 Ram 1500?
If you are looking for a light duty truck, the 2024 Ram 1500 has a choice for every type of shopper. New turbo engines are replacing the tough, but thirsty V8 engines.
No doubt, truck enthusiasts are looking for a good off-roader. They can find it in every Ram or go for one of the special Ram models that are specially designed for adventure. These include the Rebel, Warlock, and RHO.
Why is Ram Changing Light Duty Engines for 2024
For 2025, Ram is taking the leap and moving away from its well-loved HEMI V8s. This is made possible by the new SST models. These Hurricane engines will produce V8-worthy power, but they don’t require as much fuel to do it.
In two big leaps Ram has taken the lead in two new categories, the RamRev is the brand’s first electric powertrain to the market, and the Ramcharger is the first plug in hybrid truck of any brand.
In another leap, the RamRev will bring the brand’s first electric powertrain to the market. Meanwhile, the Ram 1500 Ramcharger will be the first plug in hybrid truck of any brand. For more information about the 2024 and 2025 model years, check out this

Why Do People Choose the Ram 2500 vs 1500?
If the Ram 1500 doesn’t quite have the capability you need, the answer is the Ram 2500. This heavy duty truck has more stalwart engines as well as a stronger build.
With heavy duty axles and other HD equipment, the Ram 2500 is prepared for harder jobs. Diesel engines, available on the 2500, not only offer more power, but they offer diesel durability.
Even if you aren’t in business, this may be the choice for you. It is often the choice for pulling a big camper or a horse trailer. It comes in the same trims as the 1500, helping shoppers find the amenities they want.

Why Do People Choose the Ram 3500 vs the Ram 2500?
The 2024 Ram 3500 is even tougher than the 2024 Ram 2500. It offers greater payload and tow ratings for the biggest work challenges.
This single-wheel Ram is a good choice for a goosehead hitch. For that matter, it can be upgraded to a dual-wheel truck. With that change, the Ram 3500 becomes unbeatable.
When it comes to configurations, trims and engines, the Ram 3500 offers everything the 2500 offers with two exceptions. The off-roading Powerwagon and Rebel are strictly Ram 2500 models. Find good deals on commercial trucks at our Ram dealership.
How is the Ramcharger Different from Regular Trucks?
As a plug in hybrid truck, the Ramcharger is the only PHEV pickup on the market. What’s more remarkable is how different its hybrid system is.
Instead of using its gas engine to power the truck directly, it uses its gas engine to power the electric system. Of course, the system also benefits from plug in power and from brake regenerative power.
This new technology allows the Ramcharger to go for up to 690 miles on a single charge and a single tank of gas. It comes in four trim levels, ranging from the Tradesman to the exciting Tungsten luxury trim.

How is the RamRev different from other electric trucks?
With its standard battery, the RamRev will go up to 350 miles on a single charge. That’s excellent for any electric vehicle, especially a truck.
However, with its larger battery pack, the RamRev will offer a predicted 500 miles of range on a single charge. This is expected to change the game for electric trucks and their owners.
Is the Ram 1500 or Ram 2500 better for off-roading?
All Ram trucks have significant ground clearance and real toughness to go off road. However, for big adventures, you want the best equipment.
The Ram 1500 Rebel is a superior off-roader for both slow and fast trail travel. Ram 1500 Warlock models are popular for trail riding, and it’s not just because they have a cool name.
Completely new from its 88-inch front fenders to its three dash screens, the 2025 Ram RHO is now the king of the hill among Ram 1500s.
Meanwhile, the Ram 2500 Rebel and Ram Power Wagon have plenty of equipment to challenge their siblings.
If you are looking at the 1500 vs 2500 for off-roading, it may come down to the tow rating and payload capacity you need. We must note that smaller vehicles will always have an advantage, and that would mean favoring the Ram 1500 with the smallest bed size.
How Capable is the Ram RHO?
The RHO -- also known as the rhino or the Ram High Output -- is so well engineered that every part is working toward the ultimate goal of successful, stress-free trail adventure. Kelley Blue Book, Motor Trend, and many other reviewers have hailed the RHO as a triumph due to its attainable price tag and its incredible capability.
Compared to the 2024 Ram TRX, the 2025 Ram RHO is a completely different model. However, it can come within a tenth of a second of matching the TRX for speed.
