New Dodge Charger Review

The new Dodge Charger Daytona comes with a choice of electric powertrains. The Daytona R/T can produce a rousing 446 horsepower, and it delivers more than 317 miles of electric range. Standard on R/Ts, Direct Connection Stage 1 is a valuable upgrade kit that increases the output to 496 horsepower.

Meanwhile the Daytona Scat Pack shows what an electric car can do when it’s engineered by Dodge. This Charger Daytona performance car will be at home on the track. Direct Connection Stage 2 is the standard upgrade kit, boosting output by 80 horsepower. It is expected to make the quarter mile in just 11.5 seconds. This speed demon actually provides 260 miles of electric range.

With 670 horsepower at the ready, this electric car can make the 0-60 mph sprint in an estimated 3.3 seconds.  Front and rear electric drive motors produce 335 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. Dodge has developed the battery-electric version of high-octane fuel with nickel cobalt aluminum battery cells. 

These Daytona EV muscle cars have all-wheel drive.  Their 400V propulsion system provides the instant torque response that is unique to true EVs. Dodge has designed these electric cars to have near perfect weight distribution. This helps the Charger Daytona make even more out of its high-performance output.

The new Dodge Charger SIXPACK S.O. is equipped with a proven 3.0L twin turbo Hurricane engine. This remarkable system produces 420 horsepower to make this performance car  extremely competitive. 

If you want more, the new Dodge Charger SIXPACK H.O. delivers 550 horsepower thanks to its Hurricane high output twin turbo engine.  These two engines are better than the Dodge Hemi V8s from the previous Charger generation.

White LED full-width front lighting that marks the front wears a centered Fratzog logo, and a laser-etched Dodge logo is hidden in the headlights. At the rear, the LED tail lamps form a red ring of fire where another lit Fratzog logo takes centerstage. 

Dodge Charger Daytonas offer an exclusive front R-wing. This unique eye candy improves downforce, adding to the many other aerodynamic elements that help this electric car slip through the wind.

The roof can be painted gloss black. However, there’s also an optional full-length glass roof to add to the fun.  Exterior colors offer the personality you expect from a Dodge muscle car. Among the most interesting hues, you’ll find Triple Nickel, White, After Dark, Redeye, Peel Out, and Bludicrous. 

With the new generation, the Dodge Charger gets some major upgrades and available features. Everything is geared toward the driver, although the spacious seating is still very welcoming to family and friends.

The cockpit offers a wide-format touchscreen with a 10.25-inch instrument cluster.

Despite its high-tech screens, the overall look and texture are reminiscent of the 1968 Charger instrument panel. It’s been proportioned to match modern expectations. At night, sculpted elements are enhanced by the car’s unique interior lighting that wraps 270 degrees from door to dash to door. Aptly named Attitude Adjustment, the system provides 64 color choices, and its intensity reacts to different functions, such as push button start.

Dodge Charger Daytonas have a performance steering wheel with a flat top and flat bottom design. It provides the EV driver with a PowerShot button and regen-braking paddle shifters. These models have a pistol-grip shifter and a wireless phone charger on the center console.

All Chargers have a bigger cargo area than ever before. In fact, it is best in class.  The hidden hatch allows you to access up to 38.5 cubic feet. There’s even a 1.5-cu ft frunk under the front hood.

The Scat Pack is eligible for the Track Package. This adds high-performance brakes with more area than the previous Charger SRT brakes. In fact, these 16-inch Brembo vented rotors are part of the biggest brake package ever for Dodge.  

If you love the track, you’ll appreciate the Track Package tires with its staggered set-up.  The front tires can be tuned for maximum lateral acceleration while the rear tires are tuned separately to ensure stability.  

Behind 20-inch wheels, Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 305/35ZR20XL are up front while Supercar 3 325/35ZR20 tires are at the rear.  This helps the Charger keep pace without slowing down.
