Before the 2019 Ram 1500 pickup hit the dealerships, the automaker introduced a bright red version to the public at the 2018 Chicago Auto Show. Perhaps most stunning about the pickup was that it received the Mopar treatment. Mopar, which is the parts and accessories arm of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, spent more than 80,000 hours developing and testing more than 200 upgrades. Off-Road Amenities
Mopar upgrades include a 2-inch lift kick for extra off-road clearance, which adds height to your already tall pickup. Garner extra traction and upgrade to the sturdy 35-inch tires wrapped around 18-inch color-matched bead-locked tires. You can add air to these tires conventionally and inflate them against the inside of the rim, or you can install actual bead-lock rings when you go rock climbing or mud running. The black wheel flares offer added protection when navigating through off-road terrain.
Stunning Appearance
The 2019 Ram 1500’s appearance becomes visually more appealing with the addition of aluminum running boards and hood graphics. Front tow hooks and a hitch plug come adorned with the Mopar logo. Pertaining to the pickup truck’s interior, you can add Katzkin black leather seat covers embroidered with red Ram logos. To help keep the interior of your truck clean, upgrade to Mopar all-weather floor mats featuring the Ram logo. They’re large enough to extend up the tunnel and down to its aluminum door sills, which also feature the Ram logo.
Enhanced Performance
On the Ram 1500 models with a 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 engine, you can upgrade the intake and exhaust system. The special Airflow cold-air intake system improves overall performance by collecting air from above the radiator. Constructed out of stainless steel, the catalyst-back exhaust improves air with the help of 5-inch tailpipes. The exhaust doesn’t interfere with the pickup truck’s engine, as it remains at 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque.
Extra Space
With the addition of the adjustable Ram Rack, you can add storage space to your truck’s bed. Similar to a larger SUV’s utility rack, the Ram Rack fits over the truck’s bed without interfering with the cargo capacity. The two racks are mounted to the bed’s rails, allowing you to attach large equipment. At the 2018 Chicago Auto Show, Ram showed two large kayaks attached to the pickup truck. You can also add a retractable Mopar bed step to help you get in and out of the bed easier to fasten items to the rack.
