An awesome perspective art piece at the Phoenix Art Museum.Going on a date in Phoenix, Arizona? Looking for places to go to that are both unique and fun? Hang on, there are plenty of such spots in and around Phoenix.

Visit the Phoenix Art Museum

If your date enjoys art, the Phoenix Art Museum can offer you plenty of opportunities to get to know each other. The museum, which is the largest in the region, is at 1625 North Central Avenue in Phoenix and has some exciting exhibitions by artists from around the world nearly every week. Closed on Monday, it is open from Tuesday to Sunday.  Visit between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. It is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday and from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Visit the Ro Ho En Garden

The Ro Ho En garden, better known as the Japanese Friendship Garden, came about as a joint project of Phoenix and its Japanese sister city Himeji. It is at 125 North 3rd Avenue in Phoenix and is open between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Tuesday to Sunday. The admission fee is $7 for adults. It is a serenely beautiful, tranquil garden with koi ponds and lush-green, manicured Japanese shrubs. It is a great place for a quiet, easy-going date.

Visit the Butterfly Wonderland

Drive to Scottsdale, 20 minutes away, and spend the day at the Butterfly Wonderland. This is the largest butterfly conservatory in the US, and one of its indoor conservatories mimics a rainforest. Several thousand butterflies live here and you can watch them flying about in what looks like their natural habitat.

You can also visit butterfly exhibits, rainforest reptile exhibits, and the 3D movie ‘Flight of the Butterflies’. Price of tickets is $23.95 for adults. Butterfly Wonderland is at 9500 East Via de Ventura in Scottsdale. It is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. They are open to volunteers, so, if you and your date are thinking of a second butterfly-related date, it is something to consider.

Visit Camelback Mountain

Does your date have a passion for the outdoors? Hike to Camelback Mountain, but take it easy if you are both inexperienced hikers. Give the difficult Echo Canyon and Cholla trails a wide berth and instead relish being together in such a scenic region. Have a picnic and see if you can recognize any of the native animal and plant species that live here.

Visit Tovrea Castle

You can’t just drop in at Tovrea Castle, you must make group tour reservations several months in advance. The castle, built in 1920, is a 5000 square foot, four-story structure in the middle of 44 acres of desert planted with cacti. The place’s interesting history and scenic landscape make it an intriguing place for a date. You will always remember it.

Each of these locations is sure to put a smile on your date’s face. You’ve built a memory, and it could be the start of many more exciting date adventures ahead!
