Stick a penny into the tread grooves of your tire, with Lincoln’s head facing downward. If you can still see the top of Lincoln’s head, that means that tread has fallen to 1/16th of an inch. At this point, the tire will need to be replaced.
Remember, driving without tread means you’ll have little to no traction. You will need a repair or even a replacement! That’s a big danger and can lead to an auto accidnet!
