If you want to explore on any ATV type vehicle, it is possible while you camp. It is important to note that there are some restrictions in place for these vehicles in the forest, so be sure to check the rules for the specific area where you’ll be located.

There are campground sites throughout six ranger districts. The prices vary depending on the size and location, but they start at $10 per site per night. The most expensive sites cost $40 per night for a double. RV camping prices are the same as the campground camping options.

Dispersed camping is available in most of the ranger districts. Some of these sites are even accessible by boat.

Some activities require that you have a pass or permit to partake in them during your vacation, so be sure to familiarize yourself with those options ahead of time.
