Las Noches De Las Luminarias at the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix AZ.Winter is an exhilarating season in Phoenix, Arizona, with many winter festivals and events. If you happen to be the area in this period, here are some interesting seasonal fests to check out:

Las Noches De Las Luminarias

Visit the Desert Botanical Garden at 1201 North Galvin Parkway in Phoenix to admire several thousands of hand-lit luminaria bags and white twinkle lights and to listen to entertainment ensembles. The luminaria show will be from Dec. 1 to Dec. 23 and from Dec. 26 to Dec. 31. Visiting hours are from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Prices for the general public range between $34.95 and $39.95, while members of the botanical garden pay between $29.95 and $34.95. You can dine in the garden and attend their planned entertainment. The botanical garden will close for the Christmas holidays at 4 p.m. on Dec. 24 and will remain closed on Dec. 25.

Zoolights at the Phoenix Zoo 

Phoenix Zoo annually illuminates the entire zoo with millions of sparkling lights. Visit between 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. from Nov. 21 to Jan. 13 to see the magical zoolights. Also, see the 200-foot-long Polar Slide. Admission tickets start at $19.95, with discounts for Value Nights and visitors with zoo memberships. Buy them at the zoo website. Children under two get free admission. The zoo is at 455 North Galvin Parkway in Phoenix.

CitySkate Holiday Ice Rink 

If you enjoy skating, head for the Phoenix city ice rink between Nov. 27 to Jan. 6 and buy a $15 general admission ticket on site, or get a $30 CitySkate Express Pass from the ice rink website. The entry price includes skates. You can visit from Monday to Sunday, but visiting hours are different on different days. Check the ice rink website for the timing details. The rink is at 1 East Washington Street in Phoenix. events include illuminations, skating fundraisers, visits by Santa, and much more.

Phoenix Festival of the Arts

Celebrate the season with some art appreciation at the Phoenix Festival of the Arts at Margaret T. Hance Park, 1202 North 3rd Street in Phoenix. The festival will be open from Dec. 7 to Dec. 9. Visit from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 7 and on the next two days, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free and you can bring your dog along if you have one. More than 150 local art vendors and food vendors will participate in the Festival. There will be various art activities for children as well as adults and live entertainment featuring local music bands, choral groups, dancers, and other creative people.

‘Tis the Season: Holidays at MIM

The Musical Instrument Museum is at 4725 East Mayo Boulevard in Phoenix. From Dec. 15 to Dec. 16, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., they will organize musical performances and various musical and artistic activities as part of their annual holiday program. You can purchase Christmas ornaments and decorations as well as musical instruments and other items at their gift shop.
